La Conca de Tremp

The Tremp Valley is an area with extensive and varied possibilities for excursions. In the valley there are 2 reservoirs and there are many opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, paragliding, and climbing. The valley of Tremp is also known for its castles, the fossils of dinosaurs, authentic villages and friendly people.

Enjoy Spanish life, culture and gastronomy on the terraces, markets and in the local restaurants of the town of Tremp or other beautiful historic villages in the area.

The reservoirs Terradets and Sant Antoni offer plenty of opportunities for swimming and other water sports. But also to relax with a snack and a drink on a terrace on the waterfront.

The region is a kind of open-air museum in which historical heritage and beautiful nature go hand in hand. In summer concerts are given in the various castles.

Especially the griffon vulture can be spotted almost daily from your own land. The griffon vulture with its enormous wingspan (up to 2,8 meters) is one of the largest birds in the world. Enjoy the special sight to see a griffon vulture hovering in the air and make use of the thermals. As night falls we keep looking upwards to be amazed by the beautiful starry sky that can be seen so well in this place without light pollution.

Explore the area on the (electric) mountain bike, on horseback, on foot or from the water and enjoy the amazing scenery and views.

For the more adventurous, within an hour’s drive there are plenty of opportunities for skiing, white-water sports or challenging hikes.
